My hero is Jerry Cooney, my father. It was very nice to take pictures of my hero because I know that my hero (Jerry Cooney) does a good job at what he does. I felt excited for my hero because I know he was honored that I chose him. My hero works at Inter Community Mental Health Inc. He is an Out Reach Case Manager. He gets satisfaction by helping people improve their lives despite having difficulties. "There are major misconceptions about mental illness. I have worked with people with Masters degrees. People, in crisis, are not getting the help they need immediately because the system is already under-funded&."

Hartford Magnet Middle School at the Learning CorridorIn my spare time I like to go outside and chill with my friends.
I do go to a community-oriented club called the Boys and Girls Club. At that program they keep kids off the street by having fun. I do not want to be really apart of any other program because this program is what makes me happy.
I like people that like to have fun and act real around others. I like someone who is not afraid to show his or her true self. I also do not like "copy-catters".
And I love to watch the T.V show called Spongebob Squarepants. My friends even get tired of me because I talk about it so much. I like to go to the mall and buy clothes. I mostly go there with my friends. Basically, I am a fun, exiting, out going person.
No, I do not have a job but I want one because I don't always want to depend on my parents for money.
I did this project because I thought it would be fun to learn how to work a high tech camera. Also I learned how to develop and print in the darkroom. Plus it is a good experience.
I did get a few things out this project. I learned how to make new friends from a different atmosphere. I now know how to use a different type of technology properly.
Yes, ALYC was rewarding because it can help me with future references.
I understand what it means to be a community leader. It means to be organized, helpful, patient, and a hard worker.
I would recommend kids to stay off the streets and stay out of trouble.
